Abstract
In this study, an examination of 22 shopkeepers at the Jam Shop in Dumai City was conducted. The problem in this research is the application of accounting at the Clock Shop in Dumai City which is not in line with the basic concepts of business accounting. The purpose of this study was to determine the suitability of accounting software applied to watch shops in Dumai with basic accounting concepts. The data collected are primary and secondary data. The data collection methods used were surveys, scheduled interviews, documentation and observation. Data analysis using descriptive method. Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded that the application of accounting in the Jam Shop business in Dumai City is not in accordance with the basic concepts of accounting.
