Abstract

This research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau, for 4 months starting from November 2019 to February 2020. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of the main and interaction of vermicompost fertilizers and NPK 15:15:15 on the growth of cocoa seedlings. The design used in the study was a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 2 factors, first: vermicompost fertilizer (K), there were 4 levels, namely, doses of 0, 25, 50, and 75 g / polybag and the second factor was NPK 15 fertilizer: 15:15 doses of 0, 3.75, 14, and 17.5 g / polybag, with 16 treatment combinations and 3 replications, so that 48 plots were obtained. The parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, root crown ratio, number of secondary roots. Data were analyzed for variety and further test BNJ level 5% The results showed that the interaction between vermicompost fertilizer and NPK 15:15:15 significantly affected plant height, stem diameter, and the best treatment of vermicompost fertilizer 75 g / polybag and NPK fertilizer 15:15:15 dose of 17.5 g / polybag (K3N3 ). The main effect of vermicompost fertilizer was significant for all parameters, the best treatment was 75 g / polybag, while the main effect of NPK fertilizer was significant on all parameters, where the best treatment was the dose of 17.5 g / polybag.
