Abstract

This study aims to find out and analyze how the Implementation of Assistance Tasks and Functions of Villages in Topang Village, Rangsang District, Meranti Islands Regency and also find out what obstacles are faced in the Implementation of Assistance Tasks and Functions in the Village in Topang Village, Rangsang District, Meranti Islands Regency. The indicators used include Communication, Resources, Disposition, and Bureaucratic Structure. This type of research, located in the village of Topang is a qualitative descriptive research method. This research method is used to examine two informants and one key informant. Data collection uses observation techniques, interview techniques, and documentation. The results showed that the Implementation of the Task and Function of Village Assistance in Topang Village, Rangsang District, Meranti Islands Regency was not implemented optimally, because the village companion had to cross the ocean to get to the Topang village, because Topang Village was an independent island, meaning that there was only one island villages and transportation are expensive, and there are no lodging facilities provided by the Topang village government for village assistants. The obstacle is that the Village Facilitator must cross the ocean, because Desa Topang is an independent island, which means that there is only one village in one island. Then the high cost of transportation from Rangsang District to Topang Village is one hundred thousand rupiah for a single crossing using a speed boat. This resulted in the lack of attendance of village companions to Topang Village.
