Abstract

Produced water contains chemical properties in the form of salts, oils and fats as well as inorganic and organic compounds that can damage the environment if it is not treated. The purpose of this study was to determine the use of biocoagulants from moringa seed powder (moringa oleifera) and aloe vera (Aloe vera) as a produced water treatment using coagulants from moringa seeds and aloe vera which can make the water content better by conducting several tests such as Turbidity, Oil and grease, Power Of Hydrogen (pH) and Temperature. This research is included in the category of experimental methods, and the research stage carried out is a literature study. This study used a coagulant from the seeds of Moringa (Moringa oleifera) and Aloe Vera (Aloevera) which has been made ready to be used as a coagulant with the addition of distilled water (Moringa seed powder). After making the coagulant from moringa seeds and aloe vera, put the coagulant into a beaker that has been filled with different 500 ml of sample water, 5 grams of moringa seeds, 40 ml of aloe vera. Then perform the coagulation-flocculation process, coagulation (300) rpm for 1 minute, flocculation (30 rpm) 15 minutes and sedimentation for 5 hours. From the results obtained, the moringa seed efficiency decreased turbidity 11.1% and oil and grease 22.2%. In aloe vera, the efficiency of reducing turbidity was 86.7% and oil and grease was 33.3%. The results obtained in testing Moringa seeds with turbidity 27.9 NTU, oil and grease 7 mg / L, water pH 8.20, temperature 28 ℃. (Aloe vera) turbidity 4.17 NTU, oil and grease 6 mg / L, water pH 7.92, temperature 28 ℃. The most effective final result is the aloe vera coagulant test where the turbidity level reaches 4.17 NTU, oil and grease 6 mg / L, water pH 7.92 and temperature 28 ℃.
