Abstract

So that in an effort to control wildlife traders who are protected by P3 BBKSDA Riau, it is necessary to have a communication technique that must be done. Communication technique itself is a process or communication effort in building or making a plan that will be carried out later, to create a good performance. This study aims to determine the interpersonal communication of P3 BBKSDA in controlling protected birds in Pekanbaru using qualitative descriptive methods. The focus of this research is how the interpersonal communication of P3 BBKSDA Riau in controlling protected bird traders in Pekanbaru. Traders who trade in wild animals are a serious threat to wildlife conservation in Indonesia. based on the facts found in the field most of the catches are from nature, not from captivity. Wildlife species that are protected and threatened with extinction still exist freely in animal markets in Pekanbaru. Based on the results of this study, BBKSDA P3 members use interpersonal communication in controlling bird traders who trade and trade protected bird species. Judging from the effectiveness of the communication carried out by BBKSDA P3 to bird traders and there are still many characteristics of interpersonal communication that are not in accordance with the wishes of the bird traders. This research was conducted at the Riau Natural Resources Conservation Center. This study also uses the Triangulation Technique to check the validity of the data. And using interview data collection techniques, observation and documentation. The results of the study were several interviews of research subjects as well as photos related to this research.
