Abstract

Ari Suwandi (144110301), a study entitled: Effect of Spacing and Application of Various Doses of Oil Palm Empty Fruit Compost on the Production of Renek Beans (Vigna unguiculata var sesquapedalis). Under the guidance of Dr. Ir. Siti Zahrah, MP as supervisor I and Dr. Fathurahman, M.Sc as the supervisor II. This research was carried out in the gardens of the Riau Islamic Education Foundation (YLPI), Kulim Village, Tenayan Raya District, Pekanbaru City. This research was carried out for 3 months starting from September 2018 to November 2018. The purpose of this study was to determine the interaction and main effects on the treatment of plant spacing and oil palm empty fruit bunch compost on the growth and production of renek beans (Vigna unguiculata var sequapedalis) . This research was conducted using a completely randomized design factorial consisting of two factors. The first factor is J (plant spacing) consists of 4 treatment levels 50 cm x 30 cm, 55 cm x 35 cm, 60 cm x 40 cm, 65 cm x 45 cm and the T factor (compost OPEFB) consists of 4 treatment levels 0, 1.5, 2, and 2.5 kg / plot. The parameters observed were plant height (cm), age of flowering (HST), age of harvest (HST). Number of pods. pod length (cm), pod weight (g) and number of remaining pods. Observational data were analyzed statistically and a BNJ test of 5% was performed. The results showed that the interaction between planting spacing and the addition of oil palm empty fruit bunches compost had a significant effect on all parameters observed with the best combination (spacing of 65cm x 45cm and compost tkks 2.5kg / plot). The main influence gives a real effect on all parameters with the best treatment (65 cm x 45 cm spacing) while the best pod weight parameter (60 cm x 40 cm spacing). The main effect on oil palm empty fruit bunch compost also has a significant effect on all parameters with the best treatment at (2.5kg / plot).
