Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the analysis of the public relations program in the admission of new students at Pasir Pengaraian University. The public relations program is a work plan prepared by public relations to attract new students to register at Pasir Pengaraian University. The research method is qualitative and uses descriptive design with data collection obtained from people who are involved in public relations activities in attracting new student candidates through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique used in this research is qualitative data analysis. The results of this study can be concluded that the public relations program in the admission of new students at Pasir Pengaraian University uses various promotional media and determines affordable tuition fees. In addition, there are various activities that make UPP image in the eyes of the community. From the communication process that has been carried out by public relations, it has an impact on the results, namely the achievement of new student targets in 2020 exceeds what has been targeted. Thus, from all the PR program processes and new student admissions at UPP, UPP public relations have carried out the communication process because in the admission of new students there is already a section that handles it, a message is conveyed, there are several media used to convey information, and have an impact on the program. new student admissions at UPP
