Abstract

This study aims to determine the biology learning outcomes of class VIIIc students of MTs Daarun Najah Teratak Buluh, Siak Hulu District, Kampar Regency, Riau Province for the 2018/2019 Academic Year with the application of Numbered Heads Together (NHT) Cooperative learning by using Handouts which were held from April to May 2019. The subjects of this study were 24 students of class VIIIc consisting of 15 girls and 9 boys. This research is a classroom action research (PTK). The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. The processed data is data PPK learning outcomes and data KI student learning. The results of the analysis of PPK learning outcomes data for absorption before PTK 70.79% increased in the first cycle by 4.01% to 74.80% and in the second cycle increased by 5.76% to 80.56%. Classical completeness before PTK 54.17% increased in the cycle 1 by 25% to 79.17% and in cycle 2 increased by 16.66% to 95.83%. The results of the data analysis on KI learning outcomes for absorption before PTK 74.42% experienced an increase in cycle I by 2.46% to 76.88% and in cycle II an increase of 8.51% to 85.39%. Classical completeness before PTK 66.67% increased in cycle 1 by 16.66% to 83.33% and in cycle 2 increased by 16.67% to 100%. Based on the results above, it can be concluded that the Application of Numbered Heads Together (NHT) Cooperative Learning by using the Handout can improve the Biology learning outcomes of class VIIIc students of MTs Daarun Najah Teratak Buluh, Siak Hulu District, Kampar Regency, Riau Province, 2018/2019 Academic Year.
