Abstract
This study aims to see communication activities in disseminating village regulations regarding waste disposal in Tanah Merah village, Siak Hulu Subdistrict, Kampar Riau, and to see the inhibiting factors and supporting factors of the Tanah Merah Village Government in disseminating village regulations regarding waste disposal. This research uses a qualitative approach. In this study the subject can be said to be 6 people. The data techniques used were interviews, observation and documentation. The results show that the communication activities of the Tanah Merah Village Government in disseminating village regulations regarding waste disposal not only involve other Tanah Merah Village Governments as communicators, but also involve Village Officials. Internal meetings, the preparation stage, the implementation stage, the acceptance stage are part of the communication activities in this socialization. The media used in the socialization were printed media (banners) and direct (verbal) counseling to village officials. After that the village apparatus returned to socialize it to the community. The inhibiting factor for the Tanah Merah Village Government in disseminating village regulations regarding the prohibition of littering is that there is still a lot of public awareness of environmental cleanliness, as well as the current mindset of the village community which adds indifference. The supporting factor for the Tanah Merah Village Government in disseminating this village regulation is the diligence of village officials who carry out their assigned duties and mandates in disseminating village regulations regarding this waste.
