Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the interaction effect and the main effect of trichocompost rice straw and npk phonska fertilizer on the growth and production of tomato plants. This research was carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau for 4 months from September to December 2021. This study used a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of two factors, the first factor was Trichokompos (K) consisting of 4 levels, namely without treatment, 67.5 doses, 135 doses, 202.5 doses (g/polybag). The second factor is Phonska NPK Fertilizer (P) consisting of 4 levels, namely no treatment, 4.5 doses, 9 doses, 13.5 doses (g/polybag). Parameters observed were: plant height, stem diameter, flowering age, harvest age, number of fruit per plant, fruit weight per plant, fruit weight per fruit, number of fruit residues. Observational data were statistically analyzed and continued with the BNJ test at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of Trichokompos and Phonska NPK fertilizer was significant on plant height, stem diameter, flowering age, harvest age, number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per plant, fruit weight per fruit, and number of fruit residues. The best treatment was trichocompost 202.5 g/polybag and npk phonska fertilizer 13.5 g/polybag. The main effect of Trichokompos was significant on plant height, flowering age and fruit weight per fruit, the best treatment was 202.5 g/polybag. The effect of Phonska NPK fertilizer was significant on plant height, flowering age and fruit weight per fruit. The best treatment is 13.5 g/polybag.
