Abstract
The decision of the farmers to rejuvenate the plasma oil palm will allow an increase in the production of FFB (Fresh Fruit Bunches). This study aims to analyze: 1). Characteristics of oil palm farmers, 2). Rejuvenation program which includes: models and techniques for oil palm rejuvenation cultivation, 3). Oil palm farming, 4). Factors that influence the decision of smallholders to replant oil palm plasma. Sampling was carried out randomly simple (side simple random) consisting of 31 oil palm farmers and was carried out using survey and interview methods which lasted for 8 months starting from January to August 2020, using primary and secondary data analyzed binomial regression (binary) logistics. Research results: 1). The characteristics of farmers are the average age of productive age (49-55) years, the length of education of farmers is between 5-6 years, the number of family members is 4 people and farming experience is 23 years. 2). The rejuvenation program uses the total replanting model which is carried out in groups and the cultivation techniques of palm oil plasma rejuvenation are used, including: erection, trenching, road construction, planting holes, demolition and main chopping, intermittent spraying with pesticides, planting ground cover nuts, oil palm planting, oil palm replanting and oil palm care. 3). Oil palm farming with the production factors used, namely: fertilizers, pesticides, labor and equipment depreciation. The total cost of producing palm oil is Rp. 13,300,076.51/Hectare/Year, with a production of 24,014.61 Kg/Hectare/ Year. The average oil palm farm revenue is Rp. 41,768,180,16/Hectare/Year. Gross income of Rp. 28,468,103.64/Hectare/Year and net income of Rp. 15,168,027,13/Hectare/Year. The RCR value is 3.19. 4). The factors that influence the farmers 'decision to replant their oil palm plasma are the farmers' assets.
