Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of interaction and main ketapang leaf compost and organic NPK fertilizer to increase growth and purple eggplant production. Research has been carried out in the garden Experimental Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution KM 113, Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City, Riau. For four months, starting from December 2020 to March 2021. This study used a completely randomized 2-factorial 4 x 4-factor design the first dose of ketapang leaf compost with 4 treatment levels, namely 0, 1, 2, 3 kg/plot and the second factor is the dose of Organic NPK Fertilizer with 4 levels, namely 0, 7.5, 15,0, 22.5 g/plant in order to obtain 16 treatment combinations. Every treatment consisted of 3 replications to obtain 48 experimental units (plots). Parameter observed were plant height, flowering age, harvest age, number of fruits planting, weight of planting fruit, weight of fruit per fruit, length of fruit, number of leftover fruit. The data were analyzed statistically and followed by an honest real difference test (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results showed the interaction of leaf compost ketapang and Organic NPK affect the parameters of plant height, age flowering, harvest age, number of fruit per plant, fruit weight per plant, length fruit, the amount of remaining fruit, the best treatment is a combination of leaf compost ketapang 3 kg/plot and Organic NPK 22.5 g/plant. Main influence of dose ketapang leaf compost has an effect on all parameters observed, the best treatment was a dose of 3 kg/plot. The main effect of organic NPK fertilizer effect on all parameters. The best treatment is the dose of NPK organic 22.5 g/plant.
