Abstract

The Jaipong Tap Tilu Dance tells of a dance at a traditional ceremony welcoming the rice harvest as an expression of gratitude to `` Dewi Sri '' (the goddess of rice in the beliefs of the Sundanese people), but currently the Jaipong Tap Tilu dance is a social and entertainment dance for people who tell excitement. This study aims to describe how the existence of the Jaipong Tap Tilu Dance in Petaling Jaya Village, Batang Cenaku District, Indragiri Hulu Riau Regency. The research method is descriptive analysis using qualitative data. Collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects in this study were 5 people consisting of 1 head / coach, 1 musician, 1 dancer, 1 community shop, 1 member. The place where the research took place was in the village of Petaling Jaya, which is in the Batang Cenaku District, Indragiri Hulu Regency. The data analysis techniques used in this study were data collection, data reduction, and display or presentation of data, drawing conclusions and then being verified. The theory used in this research is the Jazuli theory (2016) which discusses space and time. The space in the Jaipong Tap Tilu dance is an event that occurs over time, the importance (performance) of the Jaipong Tap Tilu dance which has a function as entertainment and spectacle, and the value system in this dance is cultural values, social values, religious values. The Jaipong Tap Tilu dance is the history of the formation of the jaipong dance in Petaling Jaya village, which originated from West Java in 1986 and arrived in the village of Petaling Jaya which was formed in 2012. The existence of the Jaipong Tap Tilu dance from year to year has progressed. Where in the past only the people inside knew it, the growing era of people inside and outside the region already knew this dance so that the existence of this dance was still maintained. The movements in the Jaipong Tap Tilu dance are rocking, pencak, muncid, gitek and geol.
