Abstract

This study aims to produce a module for teaching materials for local fruit biodiversity in Indragiri Hilir Regency, Riau Province for biology class X SMA subjects. This research is a type of research development (Research and Development) with the development of the ADDIE method. The subjects of this research were the people of Indragiri Hilir district and the subjects of the teaching materials were students of class X at SMAN 1 Tembilahan Hulu, SMAN 1 Tembilahan, and SMAN 2 Tembilahan. The research data were obtained from validation sheets that were assessed by learning experts, material experts, instructional media experts and biology teachers, as well as response questionnaires obtained from the results of limited trials from students. The results of this study indicate that the quality of the validity of the teaching material module based on the results of validation by learning experts is in the very valid category with an average percentage of 95.26% (very valid), the results of the validation of material experts get an average percentage of 91.31% (very valid), the results of the validation of instructional media experts got an average percentage of 97.22% (very valid), and the results of validation by three biology teachers got an average of 89.36% (very valid), and the results of trials on students getting an average percentage of 81.19% (very good), based on these several categories, it can be concluded that the learning media developed are very valid and can be used as teaching materials that can help the learning process of students.
