Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of the interaction and the main POC coconut coir and Growmore foliar fertilizer on melon production. This research has been carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution No. 113, Cold water Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. This research was carried out for 5 months from September 2020 to January 2021. This research using a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 2 factors. The first factor POC Coconut Coir (K) consists of 4 levels of treatment, namely 0.125, 250, and 375 ml and the second factor of Growmore leaf fertilizer (G) consisted of 4 levels treatments were 0, 1, 2, and 3 g/L. Parameters observed were: age of flowering, number of female flowers, fruit circumference, fruit weight, and sweetness level. Result data The study was statistically analyzed and continued with the 5% BNJ test. Results The study showed that the interaction effect of coco coir POC and fertilizer Growmore leaves have a significant effect on all parameters observation. The best treatment is the administration of a combination of 375 . coconut coir POC ml/plant and Growmore foliar fertilizer 3 g/l (K3G3). The main influence of coir POC coconut has a significant effect on all observation parameters. The best treatment was giving coconut coir POC 375 ml/plant (K3). The main effect of Growmore foliar fertilizer has a significant effect on all observation parameters. The best treatment is foliar fertilizer Growmore 3 g/l (G3).
