Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the form of the Karimun march song by Wirdiandi in Karimun Regency, Riau Islands Province. The song form theory used is the theory of Karl Edmund Prier SJ. The theory of the elements of music used is the theory of M Soeharto, as well as several supporting theories from Hugh Miller and Pono Bonoe. The research methodology used in this research is descriptive qualitative research. For data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. The research results were obtained based on descriptive data. The object of this research is the song Mars Karimun. The results obtained in this study are the song Mars Karimun is a 3 part song, divided into 3 themes, namely the theme A, B and C. With the sentence A-A'-B-C. From the explanation above, it can be concluded that the song Mars Karimun by Wirdiandi consists of 12 phrases. With 8 antecedent phrases (question sentence) and 4 consequent phrases (answer sentence). Consists of 15 motifs from the entire song. Using a 3 # scale with the basic tone A = Do. Consists of 41 bars with an sukat sign 4/4. The tempo used is moderate (medium) with a speed of 96. By using dynamic forte (hard) and MezzoForte (medium hard).
