Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of cow rumen tricho compost and lime leaf vegetable pesticides on the growth and production of red chili plants. The research was carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharudin Nasution, No. 113, Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. The study was conducted for five months, from May to September 2021. This research used a completely randomized design, consisting of 2 factors, the first factor was cow tricho rumen compost (R) with 4 treatment levels and the second factor was lime leaf vegetable pesticide (P). with 4 levels of treatment. Observation parameters were: plant height, age of flowering, age of harvest, weight of fruit planted, number of fruit planted, longest fruit length and percentage of pest attacks. Observational data were analyzed statistically and continued with the Honest Significant Difference (BNJ) test at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of cow tricho rumen compost and lime leaf vegetable pesticides had an effect on plant height, flowering age, harvest age, fruit weight and percentage of pest attack. The best treatment was cow rumen tricho compost 2.25 kg/plot and vegetable pesticide lime leaf 200 ml/l. The main effect of cow tricho rumen compost on all parameters, the best treatment was 2.25 kg/plot and the main effect of lime leaf vegetable pesticides was on plant height, flowering age, harvest age, fruit weight, number of fruit planted and percentage of pest attack, treatment the best is at a concentration of 300 ml/l.
