Abstract

People and law are two interrelated entities, where people live, there are laws that govern life in them. The law has a nature and is coercive where every individual must obey it, if violated it wil result in sanctions or penalties. One form of embodiment law in Indonesia is the criminal justice system in which there is a correctional institution, every individual who violates the law will be included in a correctional institution based on a judgge’s decision. This study discusses the effectiviness of the placement of rooms for prisoners in narcotics prison class II B Rumbai. This study using qualitative methods and descriptive methods researchers want to know placements room in prison. It can be concluded that placement room in narcotic prison clas II Rumbai penitentiary is considered effective, whic is factor supporting the placement rooms in narcotic prison class II Rumbai was the skill and understanding officer about operational standards of implementation, while the inhibiting factor is overcrowded.
