Abstract

This thesis is entitled Analysis of the Management of Tahura SSH Objects by UPT KPHP Model Minas in Minas District, Siak Regency, Riau Province, this thesis was written by Abed Nego Purba Girsang, NPM 167110891, Public Administration Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Riau Islamic University, Pekanbaru Indonesia is a country with a forest area of about 4.06 billion hectares and is also one of the countries with the largest forest area in the world, so that Indonesia is considered and dubbed the lungs of the world, therefore, forest management in Indonesia must be carried out. To the maximum extent possible, forest management in Indonesia is divided into protected forest management, production forest management, conservation forest management and forest management at the forest management unit level, in Riau Province itself there are various forms of forest management, including the management of the Sultan Syarif Hasyim Forest Park which implemented by the Technical Implementing Unit of the Minas Model Production Forest Management Unit, which is the executor of the technical task, which was formed by the Riau Province Forestry and Environment Service, which is divided into 5 management blocks including utilization blocks, rehabilitation blocks, special blocks, protection blocks and collection blocks . Tahura SSH is also prepared to become a natural tourism destination for the surrounding community. The research objective is to explain and analyze the Management of the SSH Tahura Recreation Object by the Minas Model UPT KPHP. The research method used was descriptive survey research with the quantitative method of the research population, including the Head of the Minas Model UPT KPHP, Head of Planning, Utilization and Use of Forest Areas, Field Coordinators, Person in Charge of Forest Utilization, Cleaning Staff, Visitors to the Tahura SSH Recreation Object. And the research sample amounted to 67 people. The results of this study assess that the management carried out by the UPT KPHP Model Minas towards the recreation object of Tahura SSH is considered to be less good. The conclusion of this study, among others, is the need to improve the management system of the Tahura SSH recreation object that is more serious, earnest and thorough as well as improving innovative, creative, responsive and adaptive performance.
