Abstract

The research aims to determine the effect of interaction as well the main effect of young coconut husk POC and NPK 16:16:16 on growth and eggplant production. This research has been carried out in the Experimental Garden Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Pekanbaru City, from March until June 2020. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) 4x4 factorial consisting of 2 factors, namely the POC factor of young coconut husk (S) with 4 levels, namely, 0, 100, 200, and 300 ml per plant and fertilizer dosage factor NPK 16:16:16 (N) with 4 levels, namely, 0, 14, 28, and 42 grams per plant. The parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, number of fruit per crop, fruit length per plant, fruit weight per plant, fruit production per plot, and the age of harvest. The observational data were statistically analyzed and continued with the BNJ test at the 5% level. The observations show that the POC interaction young coconut husk and NPK 16:16:16 affect plant height, quantity leaves, and the number of fruit remaining from eggplant plants, but had no significant effect against the age of harvest, the number of fruits per plant, length of fruit per plant weight fruit per plant, and fruit production per plot. The best treatment is giving combination of young coconut husk POC with a dose of 300 ml / plant and NPK 16:16:16 with a dose of 42 g / plant (S3N3). The main effect of coconut husk POC real youth against all observed parameters. The best treatment is giving POC of young coconut husk at a dose of 300 ml / plant (S3). Influence main NPK 16:16:16 real against all observed parameters. Treatment best is giving NPK 16:16:16 at a dose of 42 g / plant (N3)
