Abstract

Natuna Regency is an archipelago that is blessed with beautiful natural resources. Biodiversity, The natural wealth and tourist objects that exist stretch to the corners of the Natuna Regency area. However, tourism objects in Natuna Regency have not actually been developed optimally. This is of course a separate problem considering the tourism factor is one of the assets to increase Regional Original Income. This research actually aims to further investigate the duties of the Natuna Regency Tourism and Culture Office, which is the spearhead of tourism development in the Natuna Regency area, especially in the economic growth of the tourism sector and its challenges. In the process of writing, This thesis uses qualitative methods as data collection methods and is supported by the use of secondary data, the process of observation, interviews and documentation in it. From the results of the research, the program carried out by the Department of Tourism and Culture of Natuna Regency in increasing economic growth in the tourism sector has not been so maximal, it can be seen from the programs held by the Department itself. However, the Government should also pay more attention to the problems of facilities and infrastructure that have been damaged and rusty and cannot be operated, caused by the impact of the obak or caused by the lack of routine maintenance. Because this is a facility that must be prioritized for tourists who want to visit Senoa Island tourism.
