Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the effect of giving guava leaf extract at different doses on duration incubation, hatchability and survival of puyu fish larvae. A total of 1,500 puyu fish eggs obtained from artificial spawning divided into 5 treatments and 3 replications with a stocking density of 100 grains eggs in each container. The treatment consisted of giving guava leaf extract at the same dose different, namely: P1: without giving guava leaf extract (control), P2: giving guava leaf extract seeds with a dose of 0.5 g / L, P3: giving guava leaf extract at a dose of 0.6 g / L, P4: giving guava leaf extract at a dose of 0.7 g / L, P5: giving guava leaf extract at a dose of 0.8 g / L with a maintenance period of 14 days. The results showed P4 with a given dose Guava leaf extract as much as 0.8 g / L is the best treatment with an incubation time of 21 hours 35 minutes, hatchability of 87% and survival of up to 63%. From the analysis of survival variance obtained F count 146.56> F table (0.01) 5.99 at an accuracy level of 99% explains that giving Guava leaf extract has a very significant difference on the survival of puyu fish larvae (Anabas testudineus).
