Abstract

Research entitled “Effects of various interval application several insecticides in Controlling Fruitfly (Bactrocera sp.) on yield of Red Chilli (Capsicum annum L.)�; has been carried out in the yard of Universitas Islam Riau mulai dormitory from July to October 2021. The objectives of this study was to evaluate the interaction of various interval application and various insecticides in controlling fruitfly on the yield of red chilly. The study was conducted in completely randomized design with two factors. The first factor was various insecticides with four levels (the leaf extracts piper beetle, neem, lime respectively at 100 ml/l, and isoprocarb 2 g/l). The second factor was application intervals with four levels (every 3, 6, 9 and 12 day). Each experimental unit consisted of 4 plants two of them were used as samples. Each treatment combination was replicatied three times. Data were analyzed statistically using ANOVA followed with Least Significant Different Test. Parameters observed were percentage of flower become fruit, harvest age, yield, percentage of fruitfly infested fruit, other pests infestation and time of disease occurrence. Results of statistical analyses showed no interaction found between application interval and various insecticides tested. There were no significant differences among the treatment at all parameters observed.
