Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Man Palm Flower Compost Fertilizer and Tofu Liquid Waste POC on growth and production of sweet corn. The experimental design used was a factorial completely randomized design consisting of 2 factors. The first factor was male palm flower compost fertilizer with doses of 0, 225, 450 and 675 g/plot and the second factor was POC Liquid Waste Tofu with doses of 0, 300, 600 and 900 ml/plot. The parameters observed are as follows; plant height (cm), relative growth rate (g/day), net assimilation rate (mg/cm2/day), female flowering age (days), harvest age, planting ear weight (g), ear length (cm), ear diameter (mm), number of seeds per cob (g), and dry weight of 100 seeds (g). Observational data from each treatment were statistically analyzed and followed by a further test of Honest Significant Difference (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of male oil palm flower compost fertilizer and tofu liquid waste POC had a significant effect on the relative growth rate (RGR), Net Assimilation Rate (NAR), ear weight, harvest age, ear length, ear diameter, dry weight of 100 seeds. The best treatment was found in the combination of male oil palm flower compost of 675 g/plot and POC of tofu liquid waste 900 ml/plot. The main effect of male oil palm flower compost was significant on all observation parameters. The best treatment was male palm flower compost fertilizer as much as 675 g/plot. The main effect of POC liquid waste tofu is real on all observation parameters. The best treatment was tofu liquid waste POC as much as 900 ml/plot.
