Abstract

The purpose of this study was to: (1) determine the effect of different salinity levels on the development of embryo egg embryos, (2) determine the effect of different levels of salinity on the hatchability of quail eggs, and (3) find out the best salinity levels for hatching fish. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 5 salinity treatments (0 ppt, 5 ppt, 10 ppt, 15 ppt, and 20) and 4 replications. The results showed: (1) starfish salinity affects the time of embryo egg embryo development, good salinity for the development of embryo egg embryos is found at 20 ppt for 7 hours. (2) salinity has an effect on hatchability of fish eggs with the best hatchability at 10 ppt salinity that is equal to 95.23%. (3) salinity influences the survival ofuyu fish larvae with the best life pass at 5 ppt salinity that is equal to 91.36%.
