Abstract

This research was conducted at the Fish Seed Center (BBI) Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Pekanbaru for 14 days starting in December 2020. This study aims to determine the use of green betel leaf extract (Piper betle L), for the treatment of fungal infections of Saprolegnia sp. The materials used in this study were 225 goldfish seeds (15 fish/container) aged 1 month, 7 cm long and an average weight of 5 g/head, green betel leaf extract, Saprolegnia sp mushroom from unfertilized catfish eggs. , PF-100 pellets. The research method used is an experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 levels of treatment and 3 replications, namely: P0 (control), P1 (1.2 gr/l), P2 (1.5 gr/l), P3 ( 1.8 g/l), P4 (2.1 g/l). The results obtained that the best healing time was in treatment P4 with a dose of 2.1 g/l for 5 days, then for the best survival time in treatment P3 with a dose of 1.8 g/l was 88.89%. The results of the measurement of water quality parameters in this study, the temperature ranged from 27-31 o C, pH 6-9, dissolved oxygen 4.51-5.35 mg/l and ammonia (NH 3 ) ranged from 0.39-0.55 mg/l.
