Abstract
This thesis discusses the Aesthetic Value of the Minang Koto Gadang Traditional Wedding Dress in Pekanbaru, Riau Province. Aesthetics is a branch of philosophy that studies and discusses art and beauty as well as human responses to it. Aesthetics is part of philosophy or beauty. The problem in this study is How the Aesthetic Value of the Minang Koto Gadang Traditional Wedding Dress in Pekanbaru, Riau Province?. The purpose of this study was to determine the Aesthetic Value of the Minang Koto Gadang Traditional Wedding Dress in Pekanbaru, Riau Province. The theory that researchers use is the theory of aesthetic values by Darsono Sony Kartika. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis, with a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interview, and documentation data collection techniques. The results of this study conclude that the beauty of the Minang Koto Gadang traditional wedding dress can be seen in terms of the Unity, Harmony, Symmetry, Balance, and Contrast found in the Minang Koto Gadang traditional wedding dress.
