Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the suitability of the application of financial accounting in Kandis Village, Kandis District, Siak Regency with generally accepted accounting principles. This study used primary and secondary data types. To obtain the data and information needed in the thesis preparation, data collection techniques were carried out by means of interviews and questionnaires. Based on the research results, it is known that the basis for recording used in Kandis Village, Kandis District, Siak Regency is cash basic, that is, every transaction is recorded at the time of receiving cash or at the time of cash out. Village Property Report The Village Government of Kandis Village does not calculate depreciation of fixed assets. Do not calculate the remaining inventory at the end of the accounting period. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the application of accounting in the government of Kandis Village, Kandis District, Siak Regency was not fully in accordance with the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
