Abstract

Well X is located in the Pegasus field owned by BOB PT. Pertamina Hulu Energi Siak. The field has long been in production so that the production potential decreases, a strategy is needed so that the production rate returns optimally. Usually the decrease in production rate is caused because the pressure recesevoir below the surface decreases so that the fluid can not flow naturally anymore or natural flow. Therefore, a strategy is needed so that the production rate returns optimally. One strategy that can be used is the use of artificial lifts, in this study the artificial lift used is Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP). In well X has been installed ESP pump type D750. The current flow rate is 512 BFPD, while the maximum flow rate (Q max) is 1287.38 BFPD meaning that the production rate at well X can still be increased. Nodal analysis calculations are carried out with frequency variations and stages variations to increase the rate of production at well X. After nodal analysis obtained the most optimal frequency is the frequency of 55 Hz and the most optimal stages are 75 stages. Economic analysis based on the PSC Cost recovery contract scheme is carried out to determine the profit sharing of production between the government and contractors. After the calculation, the government made a profit of 26.53 MUSD and contractors 3.11 MUSD in the first year and in the second year the government made a profit of 26.7 MUSD and contractor 3.13 MUSD. Then calculate the ECONOMIC INDICATORS NPV, IRR, and POT to find out the feasibility of the production optimization project. After the calculation is obtained npv value of 5.21 MUSD, NPV positive value indicates that the project is worth doing, IRR value of 1500.25%, and POT value of 0.06 years.
