Abstract

The background in this research was about the moral problem which happened to teenager in Tambun Pangkalan Malako Village, Bandar Petalangan Sub-district, Pelalawan Regency. One of the problems happened to teenager were teenager's moral in low category and even very bad, such as moral toward Allah S.W.T where they were not devoted to do worship. The moral toward themselves which showed that they still destruct themselves, the moral toward their family such as speak harshly to their parents, the moral toward society such as spreading hoax, moral toward environment such as littering. In solving these problems, it needed the parents' guidance that can guide teenager to have good moral. The purpose in this research was to know the influence of parent's guidance on teenager's moral in Tambun Pangkalan Malako Village, Bandar Petalangan Sub-district, Pelalawan Regency. This research used quantitative with correlation approach. The population in this research was 110 teenagers with 86 teenagers as sample, the sample was taking by using Slovin formulation. The data collection used questionnaire, test and documentation. This research consisted of two variables, X (parents’ guidance) and Y (teenager’s moral). Based on the result of hypothesis test analysis with the significant score P = 0,047<0,05 which meant that there was influence of parent's guidance on teenager's moral in Tambun Pangkalan Malako Village, Bandar Petalangan Sub-district, Pelalawan Regency. The score of influence could be seen on the summary table with R Square 0,748 or 74,8%. It showed that teenager's moral was influenced by parent's guidance in 74,8% with strong criteria. It could be concluded that this research finding showed that there was influence of parents' guidance on teenager's moral in Tambun Pangkalan Malako Village, Bandar Petalangan Sub-district, Pelalawan Regency.
