Abstract
The research was conducted in the City of Pekanbaru. The aim of study was to determine the impact of the percentage of poor people towards prosperity of society people in Pekanbaru City and to determine the impact of GRDP towards prosperity of society people in Pekanbaru City. The types of the data in this study are secondary data used quantitative data from 2005 to 2019. And the source of the for this study comes from the Central Statiscs Agency (BPS). This research uses a multi-liniear regression analysis method and several tests, namely a statistical test, a classical assumption test. The data will be processed using Eviews 10. The results of the study show that: 1) The percentage of poor people does not have a significant impact towards prosperity of society people in Pekanbaru City; 2) GRDP has a significant impact towards prosperity of society people in Pekanbaru City.
