Abstract
The purpose of this research was to study the knowledge of leg muscle explosions to the ability of long jump in the 2013 Penjaskesrek Force students of Universitas Islam Riau. This type of research is an experiment. The population and sample in this study were 2013 Penjaskesrek Force students of Universitas Islam Riau who won 14 people. The research instrument used was a leg muscle explosive power test with a standing broadjump, and a long jump test. The data analysis technique used is the conversion value test. Based on the results of research that has been done, it can conclude research on leg muscle explosion on the results of long jump squat style of the Penjaskesrek Force of 2013 Universitas Islam Riau students by 47.47% with a calculated greater than rtable (0.689> 0.532).
