Abstract

This study aims to determine the performance of local village assistants in community empowerment in Sungai Rambai Village, Kampar Kiri District, Kampar Regency and the factors that affect the Performance of Local Village Facilitators in Community Empowerment in Sungai Rambai Village, Kampar Kiri District, Kampar Regency. The variable of this research is the Performance of Local Village Facilitators which consists of four performance indicators, namely: Achievement, Skills, Attitude and Leadership. The research method used is a quantitative research method. The population and sample in this study were Village Assistants who were tasked with carrying out village community empowerment activities in Sungai Rambai Village, Kampar Kiri Subdistrict, Kampar Regency, Government officials of Sungai Rambai Village, Community Leaders and the people of Sungai Rambai Village, Kampar Kiri District, Kampar Regency. From the results of the study, it is known that the Performance of Local Village Facilitators in community empowerment in Sungai Rambai Village, Kampar Kiri District, Kampar Regency is in the Good category. Factors that affect the performance of Village Local Facilitators in implementing community empowerment programs include: the minimum number of Village Local Facilitators on duty in Kampar Kiri District, Kampar Regency, the existence of assignments outside the routine duties of village local assistants given to local village assistants without being provided with training activities as well as changes to the administrative nomenclature of activity reporting. These various problems will directly affect the performance of the Local Village Facilitator in carrying out the task of mentoring and empowering village communities. For this reason, it is hoped that the Government will always pay attention to the number of needs for local village assistants who will be placed and for each assignment given, it should first be accompanied by adequate education and training, so that in the stage of implementing activities in the village it can be well understood by the local village assistants. .
