Abstract

This research aims to examine how is the performance of junior high school teachers who have acquired teacher competence certification. The variable in this study is the teacher's performance, which is defined as the output of the work, both in terms of quantity and quality of work obtained by the teacher in fulfilling the assigned task. This study uses descriptive quantitative methods, which is grouping the range of teacher performance scores. Respondents in this study involved all teachers at the Junior High School level at the Education and Culture Office of Rokan Hilir Regency from 2016-2020 totaling 75 people consisting of groups of Civil Servant teachers and Honorary Staff. Determination of respondents in this study based on purposive sampling technique. In collecting research data using a teacher performance scale consisting of 58 statements based on the opinion of Mulyasa (2010) regarding teacher performance indicators which are then adjusted to the provisions of national education. The data that has been collected in the study were analyzed using statistical software, namely SPSS for Windows 20.00. The investigation shows that the majority of certified junior high school teachers at the Rokan Hilir Regency Education and Culture Office have outstanding performance. Furthermore, it is well-known that there is no difference in performance between civil servant instructors and honorary personnel in junior high schools.
