Abstract

Student Response Of Riau Islamic University Faculty Of Communications Force 2018 On Online Learning In The Covid-19 Pandemic Reza Hidayat 169110030 The purpose of this study was to find out the responses of Riau Islamic University students about online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method. The selection technique was purposive sampling with the informants, namely 10 active students, 2 communication sciences and 2 active lecturers in communication science. The research was conducted at the Islamic University of Riau which is located at Jl. KH. Nasution in April – July 2021. The data collection technique is field research through observation, interviews and documentation. Techniques for checking the validity of the data are source triangulation, technique triangulation and time triangulation. Data analysis techniques include data collection, data reduction, data presentation and leverage. The results showed that the implementation of bold learning in the learning of the Faculty of Communication Science at the Islamic University of Riau was less effective because the implementation of the students was only tasks by the lecturer, so that the lecturer did not know whether the students understood it or not. Giving assignments from Lecturers are usually only in the form of orders to do assignments from the page only to completion and usually only practice. The ineffectiveness of learning courage in learning the Faculty of Communication Sciences at the Islamic University of Riau requires lecturers to be more creative and innovative in delivering material to students.
