Abstract

"The Effect of Market Waste Organic Fertilizer and Superior Plant Hormones on Cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) Production". Under the guidance of Mr. Ir. Zulkifli, MS. This research was conducted in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau, for four months from February to May 2020. The aim of the study was to determine the interaction effect and the main effect of market waste organic fertilizers and superior plant hormones on cucumber production. The design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) factorial consisting of two factors. The first factor is the application of market waste organic fertilizer (L) which consists of 4 levels of treatment, namely 0; 0.5; 1; 1.5 kg / plot and the second factor is the provision of superior plant hormone (H) which consists of 4 levels, namely 0; 3; 6; 9 ml / l of water consisting of 3 replications, in order to obtain 48 experimental plots. Where each plot unit consists of 4 plants and 2 plants as samples. The parameters observed were flowering age, percentage of pistil to fruit, age at first harvest, number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per plant, fruit weight per fruit, fruit weight per plot, number of residual fruits and analysis of C-organic, N, P, K. , PH and KTK. Observation data from each treatment were statistically analyzed and followed by further tests of Honest Significant Difference (BNJ) at the 5% level. From the results of the research, it was concluded that the interaction of market waste organic fertilizer and superior plant hormones affected the percentage of pistil to become fruit, age at first harvest, number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per plant, fruit weight per fruit, fruit weight per plot with treatment. best market organic waste fertilizer 1.5 kg / plot and superior plant hormones 9 ml / l water. The main effect of market waste organic fertilizer was on flowering age, percentage of pistil to fruit, age at first harvest, number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per plant, fruit weight per fruit, fruit weight per plot with the best treatment being 1.5 kg / plot. The main effect of superior plant hormones is on all parameters with the best treatment being 9 ml / l of water.
