Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of the Student Facilitator and Explaining (SFE) learning model on mathematics learning outcomes for grade VII students of SMP Negeri 2 Minas. This research is a quasi experiment research (quasi experiment) with neneanvalent control group design design. The population of this research is all students of class VII of SMP Negeri 2 Minas, amounting to 48, the technique used to determine the sample is saturated sampling. The sample of this study was class VII A as an experimental class and class VII B as a control class. Data collection techniques used tests and observations, while the data collection instruments used were observation sheets and documentation in the form of videos and photos. The results showed a difference between the mathematics learning outcomes of experimental class students. And control class students, the can be seen from the salsulation of |thitung| ≥ |ttabel| (thitung = 2,13 dan ttabel = 1,684) according to the criteria Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. From the result of the study it can be concluded that there is an influence between student mathematics learning outcomes using the SFE learning model in the experimental class and mathematical learning outcomes with conventional learning in the control class.
