Abstract

This study aims to determine the result graders learn science Biology VII3SMPN 11 Pekanbaru academic year 2014/2015 through the implementation of cooperative learning Teams Games Tournament (TGT) by using Handout. This research is a classroom action research (CAR). Collecting data on research has been conducted on VII3 class at SMP 11 Pekanbaru on May to April 2014 Academic Year 2014/2015, amounting to 40 students. Results of analysis of the data obtained that the classical completeness on the value of the PKK before the PTK is 47.4% (not finished) with individual completeness 18 people, it is because the learning is centered on teachers who only use the lecture method so that students are less active in the learning process. Classical completeness PTK value PKK after the first cycle was 65.8% (incomplete) increased by 18.4% with individual completeness 25 people. The completeness of individuals on the second cycle increased by 23.7% to 89.65% (complete) with individual 34 people. It can be concluded that the application of cooperative learning Teams Tournament Games (TGT) by using the handouts can improve learning Outcome of VII3 biology class students of SMP Negeri 11 Pekanbaru Academic Year 2014/2015.
