Abstract

The decrease of oil production rate can be caused by several factors such as a decrease in reservoir pressure. Therefore an artificial lift (SRP) is needed to lift the surface fluid, a decrease in reservoir pressure will certainly affect the SRP pump performance problems such as in X well, a decrease in the fluid level causes the pump to work under conditions of undercounterbalance to the SRP. To increase the production flow rate, the SRP performance must be improved, one of which is by re-designing the SRP using PROSPER software. The use of software is carried out because the recalculation of the SRP design has a long stage so that it can cause mistakes and can also speed up processing time. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of fluid influence on pump performance and production performance before and after the SRP pump redesign. After redesigning the IPR curve analysis using the Vogel method, the IPR and VLP curves obtained the operating points. At the time of Ps 1500 psi and SFL 254.2 ft (initial), at the current condition a production rate of 192.6 STB/d was obtained. d. This decrease is due to the pump's performance being in an undercounterbalance condition. Based on the SRP design diagnosis at well X experienced several problems, namely (1) the decrease in the fluid level caused the depth of the pump setting which was not optimal, therefore the pump depth setting was changed from 3400 to 3500 ft, (2) the pump speed from 12 to 16 SPM and (3) stroke length from 48 to 74 inches. By changing these three parameters, the liquidity level is obtained from 192.6 STB/d to 406.3 STB/d. Based on the sensitivity which provides an overview of each increase in production rate along with increasing pump speed and duration of the stoke.
