Abstract

Supervisor: Fitriana Yolanda, M.Pd ABSTRACT This study aims to produce valid mathematics learning tools with the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach in the statistical materials of class VIII SMP Negeri 18 Pekanbaru. This research is a development research with a Four-D model consisting of 4 stages, namely Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate. However, researchers only used it until the third stage, namely the Develop stage, this was due to the Covid-19 outbreak, which prevented researchers from conducting research in schools. The instrument used in this study was the validation sheet given to 2 UIR Mathematics FKIP lecturers and 2 mathematics subject teachers at SMP Negeri 18 Pekanbaru. This study produced a mathematics learning tool in the form of a lesson plan and student worksheet which was used for four learning meetings with the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach in the statistics material for class VIII SMP Negeri 18 Pekanbaru. From the results of the analysis that has been carried out on the validation sheet, it is found that the feasibility of the learning device in the form of RPP has an average of the four validators, namely 87.65% and for LKPD has an average of the four validators namely 87.73% with very valid criteria. Based on these results it can be concluded that the development of learning tools with the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach in the statistical material of class VIII SMP Negeri 18 Pekanbaru is feasible to use.
