Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent of the application of accounting in the laundry business, whether it is appropriate or not in accordance with accounting concepts. This research was conducted in Tambang District, Kampar Regency, therefore the place of this research is a laundry business which resides in Tambang District. This research was conducted with a quantitative descriptive method. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling technique which is a sampling technique based on certain criteria. Based on the criteria that have been set, the final sample that meets the criteria is 21 laundry businesses in Tambang District, Kampar Regency. After all the data has been collected, then the data is grouped according to their respective types and poured in the form of a table which will then be analyzed and described descriptively. Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded that the application of accounting carried out by the owner of the laundry business, Tambang District, Kampar Regency has kept the books but kept it simple. Recording is still not correct so that it is not in accordance with the basic concepts of accounting.
