Abstract
A leader who did not play a role in creating harmonious communication and provide employee coaching would cause the performance level to be low. The phenomenon happened at ministry of religion in Pekanbaru City could be seen from planning in direction leadership which was done by a leader by assigning subordinates to do everything duties properly and employee control included attendance of discipline cooperative behaviour and safeguarding environmental situations profession. The research problem in this research was how Islamic leadership style influence officer performance at ministry of religion office. The purpose in this research was to know the style of Islamic leadership in ministry of religion office in Pekanbaru. The subject in this research was all officer in ministry of religion office in Pekanbaru with 69 officers. Meanwhile, the object was the influence of leadership style on officer performance. The source of data taken from primer and seconder data. The technique in taking sample in this research was total sampling. The sample in this research was 69 officers. Data collection technique in this research was questionnaire. In analysing data, this research used quantitative method. Simple linear regression was an analysis in this research. Based on research findings showed that validity and reliability testing had been valid and reliable. The result of analysing data used t partial test showed that Islamic leadership style in ministry of religion in Pekanbaru gave significant influence on officer performance. It could be seen from the computation result from t counting > t table (29,947>1,667) with significant score 0,000. The score of correlation coefficient between independent variable and dependent variable had very strong relationship with R score was around 0,965 or 96,5%. Meanwhile the score of contribution determination coefficient between independent variable and dependent variable was very large in 93% and others 7% was contributed by other variable which was not included in this research. It could be concluded that there was very strong influence between Islamic leadership style on officer performance. This research finding showed that the respondents’ responses on Islamic leadership style showed in very agree category because the leader in ministry of religion in Pekanbaru city had been done Islamic leadership effectively and the officers was able to improve their performance well.
