Abstract

Regional Food Crops, Horticulture and Plantation of Riau Province provide relief onion seeds. One goverment strategy in order implementation of national priority on poverty reduction through the national program activities for the empowerment of agricultureal and food crops communities. So that the onion seedlings can be distributed on target, increased production, and farmer group income is needed by a system to select Poktan that meet the criteria for receiving onion seedling. By using Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method is expected to overcome the problem of receiving onion assistance. The criteria used are farmer group scale, land area, number of members, age of farmer groups, requirements of prospective locations, conditions of prospective farmer group. The final result of this decision support system is Poktan is entitled to receive the help of onion seeds and following education related to procedures and techniques for planting shallots. The decision support system for shallot seed assistance using Simple Additive Weighting has a total percentage value of 90% so that this system can be implemented.
