Abstract

The Hygienic market provided by the government is considered to be detrimental to traders, the problem is that the government relocated the market building to a place where buyers were quiet. The research objective was to evaluate the implementation of the sanitary lotus market and to determine the obstacles in the implementation of sanitary lotus market in Pekanbaru City. the research method is a qualitative method. This research is located at the Departement of trade and industry Peknabaru City. in this study consisted of the head of the maret division, the market development and supervision section, the cleanliness, order and development section of street vendors and trades with 6 informants. The technique for determining the head of the market, the market development and supervision section, the cleanliness, order and development section of street vendors was carried out by using technique purposive sampling. Traders are carried out using the technique snowball sampling. The results of this study indicate that in the implementation of the market which is carried out by the market office is still not perfect properly and does not achieve the goals desired by the market office so that the hygienic market has not been able to survive and compete. This conclusion is in accordance with data collection techniques, that the hygienic market has not been able to survive and compete, which in the end the market ceases to operate due to the lack of responsiveness of the government to the implementation of the market. Suggestions and obstacles in the implementation of sanitary hygienic market in Pekanbaru City, namely : there is no support from traders for the implementation of the hygienic market, it can be seen that the current condition of the madani hygienic market in Pekanbaru City is no logger operating and has been abandoned by traders.
