Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between arm muscle strength and hand-eye coordination on the under-passing ability of volleyball athletes at the Rowo Bening Club, Pekanbaru City. This type of research is correlation comparing the measurement results of two different variables in order to determine the level of the relationship and prove the relationship hypothesis or (associative) can be in the form of a symmetrical relationship, master (cause and effect). The population in this study were all 12 volleyball athletes of the Rowo Bening Club, Pekanbaru City. The sampling in this study was the total sampling of the entire population as a sample of 12 sons. In this study, using a push-up, eye-hand coordination test (catch a baseball ball), and volleyball underpass test, the aim is to find out how much the relationship between arm muscle strength and eye-hand coordination on carrying passing ability. volleyball athlete at Rowo Bening club, Pekanbaru City. Based on the results of research that has been conducted on volleyball athletes of the Rowo Bening club, Pekanbaru City, it shows that the relationship between arm muscle strength and eye-hand coordination on the under-passing ability of the Rowo Bening Club volleyball athletes in Pekanbaru City is r = 0.535 ≤ r table = 0.576 in the moderate category or amounted to 28.62% while the excess of 71.38% was influenced by other factors.
