Abstract

ABSTRACT Street crimes committed by children with violence have greatly disrupted the security of the community, often occur, because these crimes have sanctions regulated in Article 365 of the Criminal Code (KUHP) which states that they are threatened with imprisonment for a maximum of nine years. years of theft preceded, accompanied or followed by violence or threats of violence, against the person with the intention of preparing or stealing, or in the case of being caught red-handed, to enable the escape of oneself or another participant, or to retain possession of the stolen goods. The main problem in this study is what are the factors that cause street crimes against children in the jurisdiction of the Bukit Raya Police, what is the modus operandi of street crimes committed by children in the jurisdiction of the Bukit Raya Police, and what are the efforts to prevent street crimes committed by children? children in the jurisdiction of the Bukit Raya Police. Judging from its nature, this type of research is an observation research type in which the author collects data directly from the field in order to obtain the concrete data needed by applying interview data collection tools. While this research is only descriptive in nature, namely research that aims to describe the factors that cause street crimes against children in the jurisdiction of the Bukit Raya Police. The modus operandi of street crimes committed by children in the jurisdiction of the Bukit Raya Police and efforts to prevent street crimes committed by children in the jurisdiction of the Bukit Raya Police. The results of this study indicate that the factors that cause street crimes against children in the jurisdiction of the Bukit Raya Police are economic and social factors, family factors, peer influence factors, media factors and exclusion factors. The modus operandi of street crimes committed by children in the jurisdiction of the Bukit Raya Police is very diverse, such as following and stopping in a quiet place, seizing the victim's bag, pointing a sharp weapon, pulling the victim's clothes until they fall and graze the victim's vehicle, and overtaking the victim's vehicle. .
