Abstract

The purpose of this study was to measure the performance accountability of the Department of Communication, Information and Statistics of Riau Province with the principle of value for money. Research conducted with qualitative methods. In this research conducted by interview and documentation. The data collected are Government Agency Performance Accountability Report (LAKIP) and Budget Realization Reports for 2019 and 2020. This research was conducted using descriptive analysis techniques. The results of the study stated that the performance of the Department of Communication, Informatics and Statistics of Riau Province seen from the three main elements, namely economy, efficiency and effectiveness in the concept of value for money has not achieved maximum results. In 2019 the economic calculation of 90.03% was declared economical, the efficiency calculation of 102.50% was declared efficient, the calculation of the effectiveness of 95.95% was declared ineffective. In 2020 the economic calculation of 93.33% is declared economical, the calculation of efficiency of 104.19% is declared efficient, the calculation of the effectiveness of 96.76% is declared ineffective. So that the accountability of the performance of the Communication, Information and Statistics Office of Riau Province in 2019 and 2020 is said to have not met the value for money principle.
