Abstract

This research was carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau, Jalan Kaharudin Nasution km 11 no 113, Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. The study was carried out for 4 months starting from December 2020 to March 2021. The study entitled "The Effect of POCs of various Fruit Peels and NPK 16:16:16 on the Growth and Production of Gambas Plants (Luffa Acutangula L.) The study aims to determine the effect of interaction and the main effect of giving various POCs of fruit peels and NPK 16:16:16 on the growth and production of luffa (Luffa acutangula) plants. The design of this study was a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is the concentration of various liquid organic fertilizers for fruit peels which consists of 4 levels, namely: without treatment with liquid organic fertilizers, liquid organic fertilizers for pineapple peels, liquid organic fertilizers for squeezed orange peels, and liquid organic fertilizers for banana peels. and the second factor is the dose of NPK fertilizer 16:16:16 which consists of 4 levels, namely: 0, 5, 10, and 15 g/plant. Parameters observed were flowering age, harvest age, percentage of female flowers to pistil, fruit diameter, number of fruit per plant, fruit weight per fruit, fruit weight per plant, fruit length per fruit, number of remaining fruit per plant. The results of the observations were analyzed statistically and continued with the honest real difference test (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of liquid organic fertilizer banana peel and NPK 16:16:16 gave a significant effect on all parameters observed. The best treatment was on liquid fertilizer of kepok banana peel and NPK 16:16:16 10 g/plant in treatment (L3N2). The main effect on the POC of kepok banana peel at a dose of 100 ml/plant (L3). And the main effect of NPK 16:16:16 at a dose of 10 g/plant (N2) had a significant effect on all observation parameters.
