Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the interaction and main effect of bokashi water hyacinth fertilizer and NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 on the growth and production of sweet potato plants in Cilembu. The research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution No. 113, Km 11, Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. The study was conducted for 6 months from July to December 2020. The design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of two factors. The first factor was water hyacinth bokashi consisting of 4 levels of treatment, namely 0, 1,1, 1.65, and 2.2 kg/plot. The second factor was NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 consisting of 4 treatment levels, namely 0, 5, 7.5, and 10 g/plant, so there were 16 treatment combinations with 3 replications and 48 experimental plots were obtained. Each plot consisted of 4 plants and 2 sample plants. Observational data were analyzed statistically using analysis of variance (ANOVA). If the calculated F is greater than the F table, then continue the BNJ test at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of water hyacinth bokashi fertilizer and NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 fertilizer was significant on the weight of wet bean sprouts (847.28 g), tuber weight per bulb (2422.17 g), and the proportion of tubers in plants (76.67 %). The best treatments were bokashi water hyacinth 2.2 kg/plot and NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 10 g/plant. The main effect of water hyacinth bokashi fertilizer was significant on all parameters at a dose of 2.2 kg/plot. The main effect of NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 was significant for all parameters at a dose of 10 g/plant.
