Abstract
Research on Dance Coaching at Sanggar Tasek Seminai, Siak Sri Indrapura District, Riau Province, was carried out starting April 8, 2020. Sanggar Tasek seminai is a studio that has been fostered and built by the late. Tarmizi at Siak Sri Indrapura. The studio, which was founded on December 6, 2010, is a fraction of the Singgasana studio which was later formed a new studio. Initially this studio was named Temasek, then there were several opinions that suggested that the name of this studio should be changed because there were other group groups that had used this name. So it was decided that another name was changed to the name Tasek Seminai Siak (TSMS). The purpose of this study was to determine the dance coaching at Sanggar Tasek Seminai, Siak District, Siak Sri Indrapura Regency. The method used in this research is descriptive method, to carry out research that is descriptive of a situation or event as it is supported by existing facts. The data collection techniques used in this research were observation, interview, documentation, and data analysis techniques. The research approach used in this research is a qualitative approach. The theory used by the writer for dance guidance at Sanggar Tasek Seminai is coaching theory to Urwick and Thoha. The theory of dance development according to Sedyawati (1979:39). The results of this study conclude that Tasek Seminai is a studio that has efforts in dance coaching through maintenance of a studio that is always active, salvation in every program that has been designed, and processing a studio system that must always be maintained so that this studio is always active in any situation and also in any activity so that his name is always a reminder of every appearance.
